COPED
Details
COPED (Council for Education and Development) was founded in 1974, first as Diocesan Development Office, then it adopted in 1989 the status of a Burundian NGO. COPED has worked since in the diocese of Bururi (covering Bururi , Makamba and Rutana part of the province) until 2000 when it decided to expand its activities at national level.
COPED s’ mission covers three main intervention areas; the fight against the diseases (Health), the fight against poverty (food security and cash income) and the fight against ignorance (education).
